Project Overview
EVS LLC hired OnePlusOne Solutions as an external resource to redesign their main product, mobe3 WMS. This cloud-based warehouse management system was in need of fresh UX/UI designs and features that were on par with a similar mobile application project, mobe3 Live, that our company had recently completed for EVS.
Problem
We were tasked with updating the look and feel of the WMS application, improving the user experience, expanding and improving functionalities, adding customizations, and enhancing the cross-platform experience. Completing this quickly and efficiently was of particular importance.
Solution
Due to a quickly approaching launch date and a shortened timeline, our team immediately got to work on our UX/UI improvements, ideating and designing the features and functionalities, and improving existing app features.

Navigation
Improved overall navigation, focusing specifically on the header navigation, and added customization features so it can be adjusted to specific user needs.
Favorites Sidebar
We determined a ‘favorites’ sidebar would be a solution for a reported customer pain point.
Main Menu
Made structural changes that allowed for easy navigation and improved functionality.
Home Dashboard
Redesigned the dashboard for improved look and feel, and added customizations to the dashboard view.
Dataview Table & Filter Screens
Updated the dataview table and filter screens which were later used as a template resource for the redesign of similar screens.
Tasks
We made updates to the ‘tasks’ feature of the app to improve user experience.
iOS-Based Design System
Our ability to use the iOS-based design system (the collection of reusable design components such as color schemes, typography, icons, graphics, and rules for using these components) that we previously developed for the mobe3 Live mobile application saved us time in the UI and development process, and allowing us to adhere to the standardized components we build and set in the past. This was one of many instances where our ongoing, positive relationship with the client helped us move through the project without any issues.
Project Conclusions
Our understanding of the needs and preferences of each user persona and our information architecture, were tools that informed us of opportunities for improvements and empowered us to make suggestions for new features and functionalities. Our team moved swiftly through the project timeline hitting all deadlines, so that updates were completed for an on-schedule launch.
The final result is mobe3 WMS application’s interface being judged the most user-friendly warehouse management software on the market, allowing employees to triple their efficiencies, and get up and running 75% faster than the industry average.
